Greetings and salutations. Caslaikove here. Last week I told about the horrible discovery that this new enemy of humans use our kind as food. They had discovered other planets of humans, but the captured Veloptor didn’t have the space locations. But his cohorts had escaped with our high speed space travel technology, or Split Magnetic Field Travel, as we call it. The Veloptors had accidently stumbled upon us by exploring a rif, the spawned split in a magnetic field that is caused when a field is split. It was a technology defect. Kesmar, the leader of Terlokya, was nearing his final days. But since his words rang true, that of the impending arrival of a fierce enemy, those that had harbored an opposing view of a military buildup were now clamoring for an even greater spending on weapons technology and improvements to high speed space travel.
Researchers worked at what they already knew while more needs were defined. The military wanted to go beyond merely having laser weaponry that simply fired a stream of red energy that obliterated whatever it came in contact with. The need to capture, disable, disarm, or kill all became priorities for a new laser weapon system that could be carried by the common soldier or adapted (or replace) the laser cannon system currently in use by the military. Pinpoint accuracy was the goal for high speed space travel improvement. The whole of Terlokya was now behind this defensive buildup. But there would be a setback in this progressive effort. A void was about to engulf the spirit of Terlokya.

03/18/14, Earth Time: 06:00 AM, EST, Tuesday – The Story of Terlokya - Just Food
Greetings and salutations. Caslaikove here. Last week I told about how our soldiers captured a Veloptorian pilot that could write Terlokyan. The reptile was kept in a very secure facility on the moon Donar. It told us that its name was Balzzee. When the Terk medical staff asked Balzzee what its normal diet consisted of, the reptile replied, ‘human flesh.’ It further informed us that Veloptors had discovered two other planets with humans on them and had captured the planets, then harvested the populations for food. And now they raise humans on their planet and their colonies for food consumption.
Needless to say, this was very upsetting to us. The news that other planets were out there and were inhabited by humans, was an exciting discovery. However, coupled with the new found knowledge that these planets had been captured and were used as human food farms, led to the effort to extract the locations of these planets from the captured Veloptor. At that, came a new discovery – Veloptors can’t be physically tortured. They were not only tough, but could shut down their pain sensors. So all the efforts to make Balzzee give information about the human planets failed. There was only one thing to do now that the Veloptors had our high speed space travel technology. We had to prepare for their return.

03/04/14, Earth Time: 06:00 AM, EST, Tuesday – The Story of Terlokya - Veloptors
Greetings and salutations. Caslaikove here. Last week I told about an alien being discovered aboard one of their disabled fighters after the large alien fleet came through a rif next to a small Terlokyan fleet and destroyed them. They departed back through the rif. The disabled alien ship that they left behind was towed into orbit around the planet Cezzeck. Terlokyan military, specialists, scientists, along with Kesmar (the founder of a united Terlokya) came to Cezzeck to see what they were dealing with. What they discovered upon opening the alien ship, was the pilot. It was a reptile known as a Velociraptor on Earth and a Veloptor on Terlokya. And it was alive but badly injured. But even in its injured state, the reptile lashed out at them trying to injure, kill, or maim the Terks who were actually trying to keep it alive. They had to tranquilize it so they could get it out of the ship. After doing what they could for the reptile, they locked it up in a large secure space until they could figure out how to communicate with it once it healed.
Veloptors had advanced from their dinosaur days as Earthlings know them. Allowed to evolve without their species being destroyed by a meteor, they became the intelligent, dominant species of the planet Velox. Their front legs had grown longer and were useful as arms. The tail remained strong but was smaller and used as a weapon. It became a highly intelligent being. When the captured reptile began to talk, language experts tried using computer models and other technology to decipher what it was saying. But to their surprise, the reptile could write in Terlokyan. What the reptile communicated to them though, was absolutely horrifying.

02/25/14, Earth Time: 06:00 AM, EST, Tuesday – The Story of Terlokya - Colonial Wars
Greetings and salutations. Caslaikove here. Last week I discussed the error in the Split Magnetic Field Travel and how aliens came through the rif and sat face to face with Terlokyans. We were friendly, they were not. They massacred us and captured two of our fighters. Since the planet Cezzeck was our colony and this battle occurred right outside the planet’s orbit, observers in the space stations that were orbiting the planet knew of the massacre. The rif was still open and the aliens left through it before it closed, presumably going back to where they came from. But they took with them the two captured Cruiser Fighters that were equipped with the Split Magnetic Field Travel technology. But the aliens left behind one of their disabled fighters.
Needless to say, we were sure that whoever they were, they would replicate our technology and be back. The colony itself on Cezzeck was very small. It was more of a military-industrial complex to where some of the military and civilian residents brought their families due to extended deployments. Strategically it was of no importance. But as for mineral wealth, it had vast quantities of Costine which is used in manufacturing flexible metals. So it was a huge mining operation. Plus another planet in that solar system, Kekter, also had Costine. It wasn’t more than a year before the aliens returned. And this time they came in force. Kesmar, quite old by now, was still always vigilant. He had built up the defenses of both planets in preparation for the invasion he knew would come. And he knew what type of invaders they would be based upon what was discovered in the disabled alien fighter.

02/18/14, Earth Time: 06:00 AM, EST, Tuesday – The Story of Terlokya - A New Enemy
Greetings and salutations. Caslaikove here. Last week I told about Split Magnetic Field Travel, and the glitch which was another split developing elsewhere in the magnetic field, called a rif. I mentioned the rif entrance and exit could be far away from the split entrance and exit, the entrances could be far apart with the exits close together, or vice-versa. The problem occurs when the rif entrances and exits are far apart from each other. If you don’t have an eye on the rif, how do you know who might be entering it?
The problems of high speed Split Magnetic Field Travel became very apparent when a small fleet of Terlokyan ships split a magnetic field near the planet Kekter in the Hastin solar system. Kekter was an uninhabited planet but was valuable due to vast quantities of Costine which is used in manufacturing flexible metals. The fleet was going to make a short hop to the planet Cezzeck in the same system. Cezzeck had been colonized by Terlokya, along with the planet Seth in Hastin. These planets were practically uninhabitable due to the solar system orbiting a dying black sun. It was always cold there but the colonies thrived. But on that particular day, there weren’t any unexpected occurrences as the fleet entered the split entrance and then exited near Cezzeck. Upon exiting, they discovered a large armada of foreign, or alien space craft. These other ships had entered the rif entrance, which was far away from the split entrance, but the rif exit was right next to the split exit. These alien ships exited right before the Terlokyan fleet had exited. The Terlokyans hailed the much larger alien fleet and bid them welcome in the name of peace. The alien ships responded with a laser attack that wiped out most of the Terlokyans. The rest were captured.

02/11/14, Earth Time: 06:00 AM, EST, Tuesday – The Story of Terlokya - Glitch
Greetings and salutations. Caslaikove here. Last week I told about high speed space travel by Split Magnetic Field Travel, but there was a glitch. Whenever a field was split, another split developed elsewhere in the field ... called a rif. It could be close by or at the opposite side of the field. The same thing occurs on the exit … the exits could be close to each other or far apart. To make this even more complicated, no two magnetic fields are alike in size of shape. It might appear that this really shouldn’t be a problem. A ship enters the entrance of the split and exits the split on the ‘projected’ path. However, a ship could enter rif and exit the rif … where ever the entrance and exit might be.
Where the glitch became problematic, was when a ship entered the rif and exited the rif. Let me restate that the rif entrance and exit could be far away from the split entrance and exit. But that also means the entrances could be far apart but the exits could be close together. That doesn’t appear to be a problem. That is, as long as you know who is entering the rif.

02/04/14, Earth Time: 06:00 AM, EST, Tuesday – The Story of Terlokya - Exploration
Greetings and salutations. Caslaikove here. Last week I wrote about how Kesmar pushed developers to discover faster ways to travel in space. Success was achieved. The planet Terlokya resides in the Eck solar system. The planet Qanzazini, also located in the Eck solar system in a further orbit than Terlokya, was targeted for exploration and provided a perfect test for the two forms of space travel; the older but much improved Magnetic Field Realignment or MFR technology and the new higher speed Split Magnetic Field Travel or SMFT. Past attempts to reach Qanzazini using the older version of MFR, yielded a wealth of knowledge by sending exploratory spacecraft to the planet to check for the necessary environment to support life. For years, Terlokya knew Qanzazini could support life, but it took many months to travel there. Now MFR speeds could get Terlokyans to Qanzazini in a little over a month. Scientists were curious as to how fast SMFT speeds could get ships to the planet.
On the initial test of sending an exploratory spacecraft to the planet, four ships were used. Two ships were called the ‘splitters’ that carried special launchers for the plutonium-239 to create the explosions thus splitting the magnetic fields. Only one ship is required, but if upon reaching their destination and the splitter ship was damaged, a backup ship was necessary for the return. The other two ships were the exploratory ships. The initial launching was a success and all four ships slipped through the Split Magnetic Field. However, on the other end of the magnetic field near Qanzazini, only three of the ships arrived. The backup ‘splitter’ ship did not arrive with the other three. But when the backup ship was hailed on radio, they responded saying that they traveled safely through the split but ended up further out in space near the next planet of the solar system, Saysone, a small airless planet. It seems that there was a problem with Split Magnetic Field Travel.
